Are you ready to take the Challenge?
Since December 1969, the morning of 27 December has seen thousands of paddlers, support crew and officials
from right across the world converge on the banks of the Murray River, Victoria to take part in the ultimate
challenge - the Red Cross-Herald Sun Murray Marathon.
In 2002, are you ready to go the distance to make the difference?
Join in a battle of strength, spirit and endurance, as paddlers and crew make their way along Australia's most well known river from Yarrawonga to Swan Hill, Victoria over five-days and 404km. More than just a race, the Red Cross-Herald Sun Murray Marathon is the experience of a lifetime. Make friends, make stories, make memories - all while helping to raise funds for the world's largest humanitarian network.
Wholly owned and organised by the Australian Red Cross, funds raised during the Red Cross-Herald Sun Murray Marathon are channelled back into vital community programs and emergency services provided by the Australian Red Cross in the community, including Emergency First Aid, Emergency Registration and Catering, Volunteer Transport and Telecross.
